We’re hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer with a strong engineering background to help define and evolve cloud strategy for a Media & Broadcast Cloud Engineering team. This role is highly technical and hands-on, responsible for designing scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures that support live and on-demand media workflows in both cloud-native and hybrid environments. - Define high-level cloud blueprints, reference architectures, networking models, and technical roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Evaluate cloud services across compute, networking, storage, and platforms to select the best solutions for each use case
- Collaborate closely with cloud engineers to communicate architectural decisions and ensure best practices and patterns are followed
- Create design specifications, architecture diagrams, migration plans, security and compliance checklists, and cloud adoption strategies
- Provide technical leadership around infrastructure as code, CI/CD, monitoring, resiliency, and operational excellence
- Partner with Cybersecurity, InfoSec, and Legal teams on governance, security, compliance, and scalability decisions
- Engage with stakeholders and decision-makers to balance technical trade-offs with budget, timeline, and compliance requirements
- Build proofs of concept (POCs) to validate design patterns and technical approaches
- Participate in architecture reviews, project kickoffs, post-mortems, and incident root cause analysis
- Continuously explore new technologies and propose improvements around performance, reliability, cost optimization, and maintainability

Core Requirements
- Deep expertise with AWS, including IAM, authentication/authorization, and networking
- Strong experience designing scalable, highly available systems using containerization and/or serverless architectures
- Experience with hybrid cloud connectivity (e.g. Direct Connect, AWS Outposts)
- Solid understanding of infrastructure architecture models (centralized vs. distributed systems)
- Strong knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework principles
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Terragrunt
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, C++)
- Experience building deployment pipelines and enabling self-service platforms
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong collaboration mindset and comfort working with cross-functional teams
